World population growth
The line graph shows population growth in richer
and poorer countries between 1750 and 2150. It is based on the United Nations
World Population Prospects, the 1998 Revision, and estimates by the Population
Reference Bureau.
In 1750 the total world population was less than one
billion and the population of less developed countries was three or four times
greater than that of more developed countries. By 2000 the total figure was 6.1
billion, but only about 1 billion were in the more developed countries. The
estimate is that by 2150 the total world population will be well over 10 billion
but the total for the more developed countries will remain at about one billion
and may even fall slightly.
It is estimated that the total world
population will increase dramatically over the next 150 years but that this
growth will be entirely in the less developed countries .

Competition
Studies show
that driving while using a phone is extremely dangerous and puts drivers at
four times greater risk of a crash. Every day people have car accidents
because they use cell phones while driving.
There are of
course two sides of any argument. In fact the mobile phone is important but we have
to use the phone in the right way. A hands-free set is safe because people can
drive using two hands. Mobile phones can help you sometimes, for example when
you have something important to speak about. Mobile phones are necessary when
you have an accident. People shouldn't fully depend on cell phones because they
are not always reliable. Teachers and managers can present detailed reports on
information they have collected and be on the phone with others.
However,
there is no reason why you should use your phone while actually driving. It’s
easy to use a hands free set or to stop, park and talk on your mobile phone.
For example one hand is easy to control the car for emergency calls but the
problem is nowadays they use a blackberry to chat by text messages. It is people’s
responsibility to not endanger their own and other people’s lives.
In
conclusion, chances are nothing bad is going to happen, it only happens to
other people while using phone. Statistics show that 20% of accidents are
caused by distracted drivers.

balanced diet or eating balanced meals
Healthy life depends
on a balanced diet or eating balanced meals. People often think of healthy
eating as an all or nothing proposition, but a key foundation for any healthy
diet is moderation.
No one can deny the
fact that a healthy diet must be containing carbohydrates, proteins, fat,
vitamins, mineral salts and fiber. It must contain these things in the correct
proportions. The goal is to take in nutrients you need for health in the
recommended amount. Nowadays, a considerable number of people are plagued with
obesity and cardiovascular diseases, most of which result from overeating or
improper diet. Thus, a balanced diet will help people lead a healthy life.
However, sports are also
important to have a safe life without cardiovascular diseases. Some sports can help you stay healthy. If your goal is to lose some
weight, tone your muscles or improve your fitness, basic sports will help you
achieve your objectives. That’s the key to a healthy life. Being overweight is
just one factor that puts people at risk for heart disease. A heart-healthy
diet can help you lose weight or lower cholesterol and blood pressure.
In conclusion, I
concede that a sound diet is critical to our physical wellbeing. Nonetheless,
there are many other factors to keep our body functioning well. Therefore, we
should utilize the synergy of all these factors to lead a healthy life.

Task 2
The charts
below show the reason for study for different age groups, and the second chart
shows the employer support by age group. To summarise the information I will select
and report the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
More young
people study for career, and most old individuals learn for interest. Increasing
numbers of employees learn for interest as age rises. Whereas 80% under 26 study
for career, that percentage is 4 times higher than people who learn for
interest.
From 26 to
39, the support from employees declines from around 60% to 30%. However, the
support for over 39 employees increases again.
To conclude, as we notice from the graphs
people younger than 26 study for their career, while employees care more about
their own interests rather than career when they get older.
